Perkins Center was founded by an all-volunteer committee of Moorestown residents 30 years ago. Volunteers have continued to play an important role in the inner workings of Perkins Center throughout its history. Volunteering can also provide individuals with the opportunity to become more involved in their community, to learn new skills, and make new friends.
Perkins Center currently has over 150 active volunteers who are involved in tasks that include:
- Assisting with bulk mailings for exhibitions and special events
- Administrative/office assistance
- Helping teaching artists in the classroom
- Assisting with many aspects of art exhibitions, during both receiving and pick up days, jury day and acting as hosts at the opening receptions
- Helping staff information tables at special community events
- Assisting artists with community mural and garden projects
Please join with us and become a partner with Perkins Center as we continue our mission to provide excellence in the arts to the residents of southern New Jersey.
Contact Debra Hojsak, Director of Community Relations at 856-235-6488 ext. 309 or e-mail her at dhosjak@perkinscenter.org and request a "Volunteer Enrollment Form" which will help us to identify your interests and availability as a new volunteer to Perkins Center.
