YMCA's Camp Worth

Campers ages 6 - 10 extend your day at YMCA's Camp Worth!

Camp Worth celebrates over 50 years of serving up summer fun to kids in Burlington County. It offers action-packed day camp programming with activities that include sports, games, art and crafts, free swim, fitness activities and more!

Transported from Perkins at 12:30pm - Flexible Pick-Up Times

Available from 4:00pm - 5:45pm at YMCA's Camp Worth.

Session YM1: $210 for members / $230 for members

Sessions YM2, YM3, and YM4: $230 for members / $250 for members

Master Artist Workshops in Moorestown!

After day camp ends in Moorestown, stick around for a Master Artist Workshop from 1:00pm - 3:00pm!

Collngswood campers extending their day are provided with free bus transportation to the Moorestown facility.

Session 1 - June 23 - July 3

W1A - Drawing Realistic Animals
Learn how to draw realistic looking animals through a step-by-step process focusing on the skeletal system, muscle system, and surface anatomy of a variety of species.
Ages:  10 - 12

W1B - Comic Books
Learn techniques used by the pros to design comic pages. Discover the secrets of comic book inking then, photocopy the pages and add color with special watercolor dyes, creating your very own comic books.

W1C - Freestyle Dancing
Anyone can Freestyle dance with NO RULES! Learn to feel the rhythm of the music and dance to the beats you count and hear.

Session 2 - July 7 - July 18

W2A - Hot Ballroom Dancing
You will audition for Dancing with the Stars after learning Hot Ballroom Dancing this summer. Styles such as the Fox Trot and Quickstep add more sizzle with Flaco's fancy footwork.

W2B - Handbuilt Ceramic Sculpture
Students work in clay to create sculptural forms using techniques with underglazes to enhance forms. This workshop explores surrealism, draws inspiration from figure drawing, nature walks and works of other artists.

W2C - Perspective Drawing
Have you wondered why objects located far away appear smaller compared to the same objects viewed nearby? Did you know your brain automatically formats images you see into a logical, order? We will explore these questions and related concepts in depth this summer.

Session 3 - July 21 - August 1

W3A - Playwriting
In this workshop students will write, perform and produce their own plays. Students explore their desires, fears, dreams and emotions, then dramatize those feelings into characters, dialogue, plots and scripts. For the "last act" young playwrite will perform their own plays.

W3B - 3-D Constructions
Ted Warchal leads students through the numerous and endless possibilities available for young artists to create sculptures using plaster, found objects and more!

W3C - Latin Dance Flair
Latin Styled Dance Sizzles with favorites such as the Cha -Cha, Samba and Rumba during this shake and shimmy workshop.

Session 4 - August 4 - August 15

W4A - African Drumming
Learn about hand percussion by learning the West African "talking drum" a style so unique, you can use the drumming to closely imitate spoken language. A variety of talking drums will be available for the group to play.
Ages:  10 - 12 (class size limited to 10 people)

W4B - Pottery
Students will explore a variety of techniques used to create pottery. They will create slab-built cups, coil-built ice cream bowls, and whimsical butter dishes. Students will progress to working on the potters wheel.
Ages:  13 - 15 (class size limited to 11 people)

W4C - Photography and Pinhole Cameras
Explore the use of photography as a means of self-expression. Make your own pinhole camera and learn how photographs are made through exposure to the light. Students work in the darkroom and make enlargements from negatives.
